Business Centralization as a way to control cost

Centralization of tasks and program or product management can be a huge time saver if you have the right tools for the job. You will need access to a database to track all of the info. Items such as affiliate names, emails, sales amde, commissions owed, contact info to start with. Then you will need to have more database tables to keep track of what products and programs you have, how many sales you have made, how much you owe in commissions and who you owe those commissions to. Is it starting to get a little foggy yet? We are not even close to completeing the list. Now we need a way to contact people, our affiliates, the people who have already made a purchase (because repeat sales are the basis of a good business foundation) and the people that have downloaded a free product that you are still building a relationship with to trust you and eventually make a purchase. OK, what about product delivery? Do you provide your customers with a direct download link that they can in turn send out to all their friends and 'share the wealth' or do you install a separate website script just to protect your lifeblood, your products. Now we are starting to see all the ins and outs of running an online business. But how do we collect the money? I am sure you have heard of Paypal or other payment processors, but not everyone uses Paypal. So how do you enable those 'future' clients the opportunity to make a purchase? Do you REALLY want to post ten different Buy Now buttons on your sales page so everyone will be able to buy using their favorite processor? Or you could "Once Again" install yet ANOTHER website script to handle all of the options you want to provide your customers with to be able to buy your products. But that means you either add another group of tables to your database to track those payments and make sure the payment was actually made before the buyer gains access to your download. So far we have just been talking about digital products. Now if we throw in actual physical products like books, tapes, CDs or DVDs, then you now have an even bigger issue to deal with! How do you track the shipping and collect for it? Well, if all of this is overwhelming you a little, not to worry!
